Change of Plans for the Bean

Thursday evening it became clear that Carol wasn’t quite in good enough shape yet to take Bella (a.k.a. the “Bean”) for the duration of our trip. Fortunately, thanks to Amy’s foresight, we had a backup plan.

Taking Bella to our friends Bob and Lisa was a very difficult thing for Scott to do. We realized later that this was the first time he’d gone alone to drop Bella off, and it was for the longest period we’d ever been away from her. Bella has never stayed anywhere other than with Carol, either. But Bella seemed thrilled with her new digs and though he left with a heavy heart, we know she’ll be in good hands while we’re gone.
